This course gives support workers the essential skills to safely assist individuals with swallowing difficulties. Learn the basics of normal swallowing, how to recognise dysphagia and its risks, and when feeding assistance is needed. The training covers safe eating techniques, positioning, allergies, food safety, IDDSI diet modifications, medication safety, documentation, infection control, and responding to warning signs, ensuring safe, person‑centred support.
