Course Introduction
This training provides participants with a foundational understanding of neurodiversity and the diverse ways individuals experience and interact with the world. It explores key conditions, including Autism, ADHD, ODD, OCD, SPD, various learning difficulties, and Tourette’s Syndrome, while highlighting the common overlaps between these presentations. Participants will gain clarity on their role and scope of practice as support workers, developing the knowledge and confidence needed to provide personalised, strengths-based support. The training also introduces practical de-escalation strategies, along with best practices for documentation and escalation, ensuring safe, consistent and professional responses across care settings.
