Course Introduction

The Introduction to Support Work Training Course is a foundational program designed for individuals working in aged care and disability support, as well as organisations wanting to ensure their staff are prepared, professional, and compliant from the start. This course is a must for providers looking to set their staff and business up for success, with training developed from real audit findings and aligned with both aged care and disability sector standards.

Participants will gain a clear understanding of the support worker role, including responsibilities, duties, and expectations when delivering care in home and community settings. The course also covers hygiene, cleaning, safety, and maintaining safe environments for clients.

The training provides practical guidance on professional documentation, including how to structure progress notes and what information to include. Participants will also learn the importance of professional boundaries, incident reporting, identifying and reporting risks, and following care plans and behaviour support plans.
