Speaking with Our Friendly Team

One of the things that sets the Skills Centre Australia training journey apart is the personalised support our team provides.

When you contact Skills Centre Australia, you’ll speak with our friendly Administration Officer. At Skills Centre Australia, we are dedicated to making the booking process as straightforward as possible and are always happy to answer any questions you may have.

Our Administration Officer will discuss the course you’re interested in, explain what’s involved, and help find a training date and time that suits your availability.

Rather than navigating the process alone, you’ll have someone guiding you every step of the way.

Your Training Journey: Booking Your Training

Once you’ve selected a suitable course and training date, our Administration Officer will secure your place in the session.

To ensure you’re fully prepared, you’ll receive a confirmation email containing everything you need to know before training day.

This includes information such as your training date and time, the training location (most of our training is located at our facility in Kilburn at 8/500 Churchill Rd, Kilburn SA 5084), a map and directions to help you find the venue, information about arrival times, what to bring on the day and any important training information and expectations

Generally, all you’ll need to bring is yourself and any food or drinks you’d like throughout the day. We also encourage participants to arrive a little early to allow time to settle in before training begins.

This preparation helps make your Skills Centre Australia training journey smooth and stress-free before you even walk through the door.

What Happens on Training Day?

Training at Skills Centre Australia is designed to be engaging, practical, and relevant to real-world care environments.

Most courses include both theoretical and practical components, giving students the opportunity not only to understand the material but also to put it into practice.

During the theory sessions, your trainer will cover the essential knowledge required for the course. This may include legislation, best practice, workplace procedures, safety considerations, and the reasoning behind different care techniques.

Our experienced trainers encourage questions and discussion throughout the day, creating an interactive learning environment where students can build confidence and learn from industry professionals.

Your Training Journey: Putting Your Knowledge into Practice

For many courses, practical learning is just as important as the theory.

Depending on the course, you’ll participate in practical activities that allow you to safely demonstrate the skills you’ve learned in a supportive training environment.

These practical sessions are designed to reflect real workplace situations, helping you develop confidence before applying your new knowledge on the job.

Learning by doing helps reinforce the theory and ensures you’re better prepared for real-life scenarios.

Completing Your Assessments

As part of the Skills Centre Australia training journey, students are usually required to complete assessments to demonstrate their understanding of the course content.

Most courses include a written assessment and a practical assessment.

These assessments are typically completed during the training day, allowing students to finish the course with confidence that they’ve successfully demonstrated both their knowledge and practical skills.

Our trainers are there to support students throughout the assessment process and ensure everyone understands what’s expected.

Flexible Payment Options

We understand that flexibility is important, which is why Skills Centre Australia offers convenient payment options.

Depending on your booking, payment can be made either by receiving an invoice or by paying securely over the phone via EFTPOS when making the initial booking.

Our Administration Officer will explain the payment process during your booking so everything is clear before your training begins.

Receiving Your Certificate

Successfully completing your training is an exciting milestone, but the final step in the Skills Centre Australia training journey is receiving your certificate.

Once you’ve successfully completed the course and passed the required assessments, your certificate is typically emailed to you within one to five business days.

Receiving your certificate electronically means you can easily save it for your records, provide it to your employer, or include it when applying for future positions.

It’s the final step that recognises your commitment to professional development and continued learning.
